What to do when disaster strikes

Listen up and be prepared

REMEMBER
Pets are usually not allowed at people shelters! It is best to make prior arrangements for your pets or livestock ahead of an emergency or disaster whenever possible.

Welcome to the Southborough Animal Disaster Preparedness (SADP).  Check out our pages for helpful hints to putting together a pet emergency disaster kit or to preplan for emergencies by planning for your pet or horse to stay at a nearby hotel or stable. Take a quiz and see how much you know about animals in disasters and if you are prepared.  Read about what is happening in the rest of the country during emergency planning or disasters.

Join the newly created Southborough CERT team.  Get trained for emergencies and help your community in times of need. The Southborough Animal Disaster Preparedness Committee now meets with CERT as part of the team.  We no longer have separate meetings at the library
